Baby Essentials That Will Actually Make Your Life Easier

Scrolling through Pinterest before I gave birth to Oakley made me so overwhelmed when I was looking up different baby items and products. Everyone listed 20 items and I had no idea where to begin, so I called my cousin for some advice. My cousin has been a nanny since she was old enough to get a job and has been around babies her whole life. She told me some of her favorite baby products before we registered and then came to visit a couple weeks ago from Nashville and let me tell you, she knows what she’s talking about. Here are some products she recommended that I love:
1. Miracle Blanket. This is a swaddle with arm flaps so they’re extra snug. Oakley doesn’t have any problem sleeping in her bassinet when she’s wrapped in her miracle blanket.
2. Playmat. My cousin actually bought this for her. Oakley loves this playmat because it has a piano she can kick with her feet and it plays music. It also turns into a little portable piano for when they’re older.
3. Ergo baby carrier. Although we had to watch a YouTube video on how to put it on, I like that it grows with the baby and can be worn a lot of different ways. Plus, it’s nanny approved and she’s worn a lot of different baby carriers. So basically, you need this. By the way, how cute are the ones for the little girls so they can carry their dolls in them?!
4.Munchkin Arm and Hammer Diaper Genie. This is a lifesaver because you don’t have to go outside in the middle of the night to throw away a stinky diaper. It has an Arm and Hammer device to get rid of the smell. The bag refills are cheaper on Amazon then they are in the store.
5. The Blooming Bath. This is one that I actually found on my own and love it! It’s also my go to gift for baby showers and my friends all love it! Oakley loves bath time and I think the Blooming Bath has a lot to do with that!
My cousin is a baby whisperer and is up on all of the best baby products, sooo I’ll post more as I think of more or hear of more she recommends.
